Iterative Channel Estimation for DS-CDMA Frequency-domain Equalization

Abstract As the number of resolvable paths increases, the bit error rate (BER) performance of DS-CDMA with Rake combining degrades due to increasing inter-path interference. However, using the frequency domain equalization can improve the BER performance. For frequency-domain equalization, estimation of the channel transfer function is required. In this paper, we propose the iterative channel estimation using the time-multiplexed pilot within the FFT window interval and the achievable BER performance is evaluated by computer simulation.
